geophysical fluid dynamics:

  • water exchange, upwelling, cascading,
  • mixing near the temperature of maximum density;

marine environment:

  • environmental monitoring;eutrophication;
  • spatial and temporal variations of chlorophyll “a” concentration,
  • sea surface temperature, suspended matter, and marine ice;
  • climate change and ecosystem regime shifts;
  • validation of satellite data.
