Irina Chubarenko and Natalya Stepanova were present at the 11th Baltic Sea Science Congress “Living along gradients: past, present, future” in June 2017 in Rostock, Germany. Irina Chubarenko, head of the laboratory for marine physics and the MARBLE team, was the session chair for Session 4: Castal Seas and Society. Her oral presentation was entitled Microplastics: pollutant with unknown transport properties (Chubarenko, I., Poterukhina, I., Bagaeva, M., Khatmullina, L., Isachenko, I., Nizhnikovskaya, O.). The poster works on the cold intermediate layer, the experimental sampling equipment, and the microplastics in bottom sediments were also presented.
